May tells Netanyahu UK sees Iran nuclear deal as ‘vitally important’
In a phone conversation, British PM Theresa May told Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu that her country objects to the decertification of the Iran deal, adding that Israel’s stance on the issue might harm the regional security.

In a phone conversation, May, who is scheduled to meet Netanyahu in London next month, said Britain remains “firmly committed to the deal,” a Downing Street spokesman said.
Netanyahu replied that the UK is aware that Iran’s nuclear development sites cannot be monitored, adding that the Iranian missiles will threat the entire region, not just Israel.
According to the spokesman, May said the deal is “vitally important for regional security.”
The two leaders, he said, “agreed that the international community needed to be clear-eyed about the threat that Iran poses to the Gulf and the wider Middle East, and that the international community should continue working together to push back against Iran’s destabilizing regional activity.”
“The Prime Minister said it was important that the deal is carefully monitored and properly enforced, and that both sides deliver on their commitments,” he added.
US President Donald Trump is expected to report to Congress about the fate of the deal in six days.
